My name is Ms. Larios and welcome to Ridge! I am a true Arizona native and a product of the awesome Deer Valley Unified District, having attended from 1st-12th grade - even graduating from Mountain Ridge! Returning to the high school that ignited my love for all things English and catapulted me into a successful college career has always been my dream - and I am ecstatic to be here!
I didn't veer too far away for my collegiate journey and graduated Magna Cum Lade from both Northern Arizona University with a B.S in Speech Communication and Grand Canyon University with a M.A in Secondary Education. The majority of my professional career has been spent in higher education working with students from the three state universities, ASU, GCU, and NAU. While I thoroughly loved my time with my college students, I knew my true calling resided with the generation who are college bound which lead me to my old home, Mountain Ridge!
As a mother of 2 young daughters, I fully understand that not everyday will be a home run scholastically, and some days feeling seen and appreciated holds more value. In this historical moment, our children need patience and our encouragement more than ever. While the goal in my class is to always excel with greatness, please know I will do so while creating a positive and safe space as we navigate through this new world.
