I'm excited for another amazing year! This is my 26th year teaching at MRHS. I got my Secondary Education degree from ASU in 1998 (Go Devils) and came to Ridge the following year. I'm not quite sure where all the years went but I have a few amazing things to show for it all. Somehow, I managed to fit in coaching softball for 9 years, coaching badminton for 3 years as an assistant, becoming the head badminton coach, earning my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, getting a minor in journalism, starting a Master's Degree in English (half done), adjuncting for Rio Salado for 20 years, advising yearbook for 18 years, advising newspaper for 15 years, having two kids, solving the world's problems and bringing back Myspace. Okay, I didn't technically bring back Myspace, but I still might. I also have two beautiful children; one who graduated from MRHS in 2021 and ASU in 2023 and one who will be a sophomore at Mountain Ridge High School. I also have a wonderful wife who I was fortunate enough to work with at Ridge for 16 years; she taught Honors and AP Chemistry but left me at Ridge to be the Faculty Chair for Physical Sciences at Rio Salado College...I think we all know who the smart one is in our family.
